On the Lighter Side: Snowfun

Revel in a child's wonder of waking up on a Saturday morning to the beauty of white sparkling in the sunshine, the soft crunch underfoot, the fun of making a snowman, going sledding or skiing ....and coming inside to a flurry of great snow books! For little ones: Just a Snowy Day,  The Mitten,  Who Lives in the Snow?, Snowy Sports: Ready, Set, Play!, Snowballs

For Budding Scientists: Animals in Winter (Read-&-Find-Out Science), Snowflake Bentley, or The Secret Life of a Snowflake: An Up-Close Look at the Art and Science of Snowflakes

For 2nd-6th graders: Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening, Jane Yolen's classic Owl Moon, or perhaps Ravensburger's 300-piece "Snowy Bridge" Puzzle.

And a terrific read-aloud for the snowman and snowball set of all ages: The Annual Snowman's Ball  (it only happens once  year!) will have everyone's toes tapping!
